Last night my friends and I watched The Lion King. If anyone hasn’t seen the movie in a bit, GO WATCH IT. IMMEDIATELY. I am the biggest fan of puns, and that movie is so full of them. It was fantastic. My friends and I were in hysterics and we were all singing along. It was the greatest.

- Professor: One of the author's, Carl Hiaasen's, points against Disney brought up how many people bought dalmatians after seeing 101 Dalmatians, and how that particular breed is not good with children, and therefore many of the dalmatians were put in pounds.
- Me: Yeah, like how when there was an increase in lion adoptions when The Lion King came out.
- Sarah: I adopted a shark when Finding Nemo came out.

College is just a fancy word for preschool.Maya H.

It’s a small liberal arts university located in the lovely state of Massachusetts with a huge emphasis on social justice with the motto, “Truth, even unto its innermost parts.” According to US Weekly’s national rankings of colleges, Brandeis is rated #31.
I’m also pretty sure Brandeis is just Tumblr University because not a day goes by without someone making either a Disney, Harry Potter, or Dr. Who reference.
It’s about 3 weeks in, and I’m already loving it. What I think is really unique about my school is not just the incredible programs offered, but the people who go here. All the people who live on my floor are the sweetest, most intelligent group of kids my age. It’s also super diverse, which is wonderful! For example, there is the kindest girl on my floor from Nepal who is going to be in Al Gore’s new movie, “An Inconvenient Youth, ” and she is also writing a book with help from the World Wildlife Fund. That’s only one person on my floor! A boy on my floor’s father is a very influential economist, another girl is from Morocco who paints the most amazing pictures, and we even have a girl from Laos who speaks four languages.
There are so many things to do on campus. The student body here is super friendly and the professors seem just as excited as the students do to be here. The subjects offered are incredibly thought-provoking as well as attend to the interests of the students. For example, there’s an English class that looks at children’s literature….AKA HARRY POTTER.
There are so many wonderful things about my school and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions about it, or about college in general. I’m here for you guys!!!
Definitely apply here. Learn about Brandeis. My college experience is so different than those of my friends attending other schools, and I feel bad that they’re not sharing the experience I am.

EDIT: My floor also assigned Disney characters to each of us. Currently, Rapunzel (who we affectionately call Rapoo) and Belle…also known as Deanna and Sari…are breathing over my shoulder forcing me to include them. They are incredible people, and I’m so happy to be their friends…even if they’re reading this over my shoulder with a knife pointed to my teddy bear. BUT SERIOUSLY like…they all love Disney…which is awesome…so yeah.
